Still waiting for Aunt Flo. She's so rude, she hasn't informed me of her travel plans, the Biatch. I talked with my friend a little who knows a little about losing things and she said it could happen sooner, but she knows some who it will take months for theirs to return. I have never been on this charting expedition, but I do know that until I have that first visit from AF, I'm stuck and can't really even begin to chart. I took a PT and it was negative so there's no reason AF isn't visiting.
I find myself a little envious of all of you who've had your visits already.
With my son, I was breastfeeding for 8 months and it wasn't until shortly after I stopped completely when AF came back.
I just want to get things working back to normal again.
Argh. More waiting for an unpatient patient.
Any suggestions? I have my six week checkup on wed and my friend said that I could bring on a cycle with BC pills or some other hormone thing so I'm thinking of asking my dr. about this.

Provera can bring on a cycle- but it may not necessarily help to get you truly back on schedule. I have had to do that in the past though, and it always works.
I'm sorry you are having to feel anxious about this. It stinks- big time!
With Joseph mine came the day OF my 6 week checkup...like nothing I'd ever had before. Ugh and yuck...that's all I can say. Probably BC pills would help bring it on. I'm wondering about some of the herbal tea they have in health food stores...they seem to have one for just about everyting. They are usually pretty helpful too about finding something. Hope you find something that works.

After I had my Emma it took 8 weeks before I got AF again. When you go for you 6 week check up ask you doctor if he can help get things started. But I would think that you should see her soon.
Mine took 8 weeks before it came - it was really heavy flow, too, so I called my Dr. worried about that. She said to call back if it continued so heavy, and it didn't. Don't worry too much yet (way easier said than done - the return of my cycle post-stillbirth was one of my biggest concerns). I know people who took 10 weeks postpartum after stillbirth for AF to return.
As for charting, you could start to practice at www.fertilityfriend.com even if AF is taking her sweet time. Charting was a godsend for me in the year that it took to get pregnant again - it gave me a tiny sense of control [false as that may be ;) ].
P.S. I just reread your post. Do ask your doctor what s/he thinks. That's the best thing to do.
The biatch showed up here about a week before the two months mark, and I actually felt the ovulation symptoms about two weeks before then, although I didn't realize right away what it was.
I hope she visits soon, so you can kick her ass for being such an inconsiderate meany.
